Booking Terms & Conditions
The Second Order
About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all consultation bookings made with The Second Order ("we," "us," "our"). By completing a booking, you ("the Client") confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between The Second Order and the Client.
The Nature of Our Work
Consultations offered by The Second Order are spiritual and intuitive in nature. The guidance provided is intended to support personal reflection, clarity, and self-awareness.
Nothing communicated during a session constitutes medical, psychological, legal, financial, or any other form of regulated professional advice. Clients are encouraged to seek qualified professionals for matters requiring such expertise.
The outcome of a session is not guaranteed. Results are experiential and will vary between individuals. By booking, the Client acknowledges and accepts this.
The Second Order does not claim to predict the future with certainty. All information shared during a session should be received with personal discernment and used in accordance with the Client's own free will and judgment.
The Client accepts full and sole responsibility for any decisions made, actions taken, or conclusions drawn as a result of or following a session with The Second Order. The Second Order accepts no responsibility for how session content is interpreted or applied in the Client's life.
If the Client is currently receiving support from a mental health professional, medical practitioner, or any other regulated health provider, they are strongly encouraged to consult that provider before booking a session. This service is not a substitute for mental health treatment, therapy, counselling, or medical care of any kind.
Eligibility
By booking a consultation, you confirm that you are aged 18 years or older (or have written parental/guardian consent if aged 16–17), booking voluntarily and of sound mind, and not in a state of acute mental health crisis. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact a qualified health professional or crisis service immediately.
You further confirm that you understand the nature of the service as described in Section 2, that you are booking of your own volition, and that you take full personal responsibility for your engagement with the session and any outcomes that follow.
The Second Order reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking at its sole discretion.
Session Delivery
All consultations are conducted via video call (such as Zoom or equivalent platform). A session link will be provided upon confirmed booking.
The Client is responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection, a private and quiet environment suitable for the session, and if required having the relevant platform installed and functioning prior to the call.
Sessions will begin and end at their scheduled time. Technical difficulties experienced on the Client's end do not entitle the Client to additional session time.
In the event of a significant technical failure on our end, we will offer a reschedule at no cost.
Payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your session. Your session is not confirmed until payment has been received.
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD). Payment is processed securely via Stripe. The Second Order does not have access to any payment card details.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
All cancellations and reschedule requests must be submitted in writing to book@secondorder.one with your booking details.
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled session are eligible for one complimentary reschedule or a session credit valid for 90 days. No cash refunds are offered under any circumstances.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled session will forfeit the session fee entirely. No credit, reschedule, or refund will be issued, except in exceptional circumstances at the sole discretion of The Second Order.
Each booking includes one complimentary reschedule, provided the request is made 48 hours or more in advance. Subsequent reschedule requests, or requests made inside the 48-hour window, will not be accommodated except in exceptional circumstances at the sole discretion of The Second Order.
Refunds
The Second Order does not offer cash refunds. All sales are final. Where a cancellation is eligible under Section 6, the Client will receive either a complimentary reschedule or a session credit valid for 90 days from the date of cancellation, to be applied toward a future booking.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights the Client may have under the Australian Consumer Law or applicable consumer protection legislation in the Client's jurisdiction.
Late Arrivals & No-Shows
Sessions will be held open for 10 minutes past the scheduled start time. If the Client has not joined within this window, the session will be considered a no-show and no refund or reschedule will be offered.
If you are running late, please notify us as soon as possible via book@secondorder.one. We will do our best to accommodate where time allows, however we cannot guarantee an extension beyond the booked session time.
Recording Policy
Sessions with The Second Order are not to be recorded by the Client in any format — audio, video, or otherwise — without express prior written consent from The Second Order. The Second Order does not record sessions. Clients are welcome to take written notes during or after their session for personal use.
Confidentiality & Privacy
The Second Order treats all information shared by Clients — before, during, or after a session — as strictly confidential. We will not share, disclose, or discuss session content with any third party, except where required by law or where there is a reasonable belief that a Client or another person may be at risk of harm.
De-identified case material may occasionally be referenced for professional development, peer supervision, or educational purposes such as conferences or communities of practice within the intuitive arts field. In all such instances, no information that could identify a Client will be disclosed. Session themes or outcomes may be described only in general terms.
Your personal data (name, email, contact details, booking history) is collected solely for the purpose of providing our services and managing your booking.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and, where applicable, the UK GDPR and applicable US state privacy laws. Our full Privacy Policy is available at [WEBSITE LINK].
Intellectual Property
All content, methods, frameworks, language, and materials shared by The Second Order during or in connection with a session are the intellectual property of The Second Order. The Client may not reproduce, publish, teach, or commercialise any part of the session content without prior written permission. Personal notes taken by the Client for private use are permitted.
Conduct
The Second Order reserves the right to end a session immediately, without refund, if a Client behaves in a manner that is abusive, threatening, inappropriate, or otherwise disrespectful. We are committed to creating a space that is safe and considered for both parties.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Second Order's total liability to the Client in connection with any session shall not exceed the amount paid for that session. The Second Order is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage arising from reliance on session content or guidance.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The Second Order agrees to reasonable compliance with applicable consumer protection laws in the Client's jurisdiction, including those of the United Kingdom and the United States. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia, except where mandatory local laws provide otherwise.
Amendments
The Second Order reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of booking will apply to that booking. Updated Terms will be published at [WEBSITE LINK].
Agreement
By completing a booking with The Second Order, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full.
